Blue Skies all have rhythmic Jazz lines that repeat with varied instruments from Piano, Bass, Drums, Organs, Vibes and Flutes to French Horns and Saxophones and Kazoos and creates a Zen feeling of wellness.Udderly Content, the title track radiates just that, utter contentment. The trick is in its simplicity. Bovine Bob jokes (sings) and plays Kazoo accompanied by a sweet guitar vamping that will simply leave you feeling happy.Milking Time, the longest track on the album, has a compelling quality like the steadfastness of a marching band and juxtaposes Western guitars with Eastern percussion, redirecting the listener backward and forward.The Groooove, written by Big Bobby Brown-Swiss and sung by Bob, is a story from the Cow-Days of Summer. Up river and down wind where the bulls run cool and the cows are cooler, jams this fun song featuring a walking bass, guitars, organs, Kazoo and vocals telling a story of “Huckleberry Finn and his friend, you know him...”.Another strange and unlikely hit (which is not so “full of sh&t”, you’ll understand when you hear it) is the ever-building Kirsten, featuring Kazoo, another groovy organ, vocals and a whole lot of hip.In the Mooooud, blends vibrant horns with staccato strings and a Turkish sounding Saz or Oud (therefore the play on words). It opens a ‘World Music’ door through which the band clearly steps through. Like Alice and her ‘mirror’, the listener is brought to a new ‘Wonderland’. This certainly helps in 3C’s international appeal.Cattle Drive has a sustained driving beat and Southern Organ that drives both you and nature. Southern heat and starry nights make this song ‘outtasight’.Piano, Organ, Walking Bass, Drums, Guitar and Vibes travel in the mind set of the Deep Thoughts of the Contemplative Cow.Grazin’ in the Sun is another jazzy blend of unpasteurized happiness. Listen in on the instruments of jazz and blues which groove you to a whole new plateau.Then, follow Cud on an unexpected journey from the festivals of Rio to a slick New York Cocktail Lounge.The album concludes with Bob’s formative training in the classical composition Far Away Places, a string orchestral performance showing the breadth and width of the Cud Chewing Cows’ musical scope.Volume One - Udderly Content (Special Edition) has a Bonus Track on it, Grass is Growing.

Their happy-leadership role seems self-aware in the underground dance hit *single “iMLK”, a reference to the “i” in “I have a dream” and MLK, as in, Martin Luther King.
